Libya is a dangerous place to be a citizen or a reporter. We spoke to independent American journalist Rachel Beth Anderson just before the deaths of Tim Hetherington and Chris Hondros were announced. Rachel Beth was studying in Cairo when revolution broke out. Americans were evacuated, but she stayed, forfeiting her scholarship to cover what she considered the story of a lifetime. She’s now working in Libya as a journalist and also training Libyan citizens in reporting skills. And she really wants to stay. Rachel Beth is trying to raise $30,000 by Thursday, April 28 using the crowd funding site, Kickstarter.
