Former Congressman Charlie Bass has claimed victory in the 2nd Congressional District's GOP Primary, but an 8% margin over Nashua Broadcaster Jennifer Horn.
NHPR Correspondent Sean Hurley has the story.
(Chants) Charlie! Charlie!
"Fur years ago, I returned to private life, and I thought I'd never see my name on a ballot again."
After thanking his family, former Representative Charlie BAss made it clear what brought him back to politics.
"Like the rest of you--or many of you--I watched with surp4rise and amazement and frankly disappointment as the Democrats in Washington drunk on power embarked on a celebration of spending."
The former Representative also quickly took aim at his freshly decided democratic opponent.
" My opponent Anne Kuster believes that Washington hasn't spent enough. And that taxes aren't high enough. And you know something? We've had enough. My friends, all of us must stand together and take our country back, and make the next 48 days, Kuster's last stand."
