Water: We turn on the faucet, the shower, the hose and it’s there... clean, cool, available and cheap. But according to journalist Cynthia Barentt, the U.S., one of the world’s most water-rich nations, also uses more H2O than any other country. That she says has lead to an inevitable crisis where long time water sources from rivers to reservoirs to aquifers are rapidly drying up. Barnett suggests that we need to have a Blue Revolution comparable to the green one of the last 20 years and points to the smart practices of other less water rich countries as a way to avoid serious problems in the near future.
